Sometimes life's most difficult moments lead us to discover our greatest purpose.

After losing our mother to cancer, our family took a hard look at the way we were living. We became more intentional about the foods we ate, choosing healthier options whenever possible. As we made those changes, one question kept coming back to us:

If we're careful about what we put into our bodies, shouldn't we be just as careful about what we put on our skin?

That question became the foundation of E & E Essentials.

Founded on January 9, 2023, in New Orleans, Louisiana, E & E Essentials was created with a simple mission: to craft natural skincare products using ingredients we trust for ourselves and our family. Every product is handcrafted in small batches using the traditional cold process method, allowing us to preserve the qualities of nourishing oils and butters while creating soaps that are gentle, long-lasting, and made with care.

We believe skincare doesn't need harsh chemicals, unnecessary preservatives, or synthetic fragrance oils to be effective. That's why we use thoughtfully selected plant oils, botanical ingredients, and pure essential oils to create products that help you enjoy a simple, natural skincare routine.

Our very first soap, Aloe & Shea, was created because we wanted a gentle, everyday soap for ourselves. Then my wife asked for a peppermint soap, which inspired our Peppermint Bar Soap. Shortly after, my cousin requested a lemongrass soap—and that single request led to what has become our best-selling product, our Lemongrass Bar Soap. Every product we make has a story because every product was created to meet a real need before it ever reached our customers.

Like many small businesses, our journey started one customer at a time. Old Road Coffee gave us our very first opportunity to sell at a market, helping introduce E & E Essentials to the community. As our customer base grew, Drug Emporium became our first retail partner, marking an exciting milestone in seeing our handcrafted products on store shelves. Since then, we've continued growing through farmers markets, festivals, retail partnerships, and the incredible support of customers who believe in what we do.

Today, E & E Essentials remains a proudly Black family-owned business rooted in New Orleans. Every bar of soap, body butter, liquid hand soap, and lip balm is made with the same care and purpose that inspired us from the beginning. We aren't trying to be the biggest skincare company—we're committed to being one you can trust.
